Alliance Spring 2025

AYSO's Area 2C Alliance Program Offers an opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated players from 10U-18U a more competitive but still recreational opportunity to play more soccer. Alliance is the AYSO Player Pathway level between Recreational and Club Programs. Players are selected based on skill and potential through tryouts, but can expect a lower level of competitive play and time commitment than at the full Club level.

Alliance consists of two seasons with teams formed after tryouts twice a year: Fall and Spring. Fall, players are chosen, teams formed and announced late June/early July. Training sessions typically start mid-July. Alliance game schedule runs August through October. Spring players are chosen, teams formed and announced in November. Training sessions typically start in December with the game schedule running from February through April. For both seasons, teams choose to compete in tournaments depending on the team’s chosen schedule.

PARTICIPATION
All players (10U and up) are encouraged to apply/try-out. With the switch to Alliance, players do not have to have played in the Fall program to play in the Alliance program. Although you may only participate in the same division that you participated in during the Fall Core program.

The number of teams formed in each division varies from year to year depending upon the number of players trying out and the number of certified Coaches available to coach. Alliance teams travel more than fall teams, as they could play teams from Davis, as well as Winters, Capay, and Antelope (possibly others - this varies from year to year).

A higher level of commitment is expected from both the players AND the parents. Alliance is for enthusiastic and motivated players, for the purposes of player development. A player is expected to regularly attend training sessions and games. Parents are also expected to participate in league organization, particularly in the running of the Concord Cup (mid May) to which Concord AYSO is a Host.
